I am being offered a chance to buy a 1978 C Holiday Rambler in great shape. I was thinking of offering $5000.00 for it. Do you think that is a fair price to offer?
I just bought an immaculate condition '78 Holiday Rambler/Chevy for $1700. By far the nicest one I've ever seen (up to '90s), I plan on living in it. Very comfortable and well-built, but remember gas prices when considering the price! Just my opinion, but don't pay that much. (unless you're buying from me!) I don't mean to undermine these beautifully built rigs, but you can find seriously good deals at auctions! Hint, hint ;) Hopefully I could be helpful!
I just bought a mint 1978 Holiday Rambler 24 foot M/H class C on a Ford Chassis with 42K miles from the original owner with all paper work and all original and garaged it's entire life for 2000.00
Holiday's were built to compete with Airstreams,Avions etc. They are built with all aluminum framework, not wood like most, and have doble insulation and double floors with a full lower metal floor not to mention the rolled outer edges on all coners and roof which means less seperation and leakage. These are some of the best built campers ever made,so 5K might not be a bad deal,I know at 2K,I got a helluva deal on mine, good luck
I got a 1978 HR 33' TT (Presidential Series) in 2007 for $2000. It's in mint condition and I AM living in it. I love it. Has all kinds of neat things other models don't have.
Took the bathroom door off (alone and the it was tight with the mattress and will sell to anyone who wants it.
Original AC/furnace/HWH/fridge all work! I even have a garbage disposal, which I don't use.
