I tried to get rid of some black streaks on the side of our 96 bounder, I used some 409 as I didn't have any of the regular black steak remover, designed for this purpose.
What did happen was that it removed the black streaks but in doing so where ever I sprayed the 409 on the striping decals some discoloration occured below that area on the beige siding, kind of a light brown area appeared. I have tried everything I can think of and so far the only thing that seems to remove it is a cleaning powder called Bon-ami (sp.?) Anyone have a better idea as this process is VERY time consueming and I don't want to hurt the siding.
Try product called "Reliable". It is amazing. I also learned this from a guy detailing coaches at an Outdoor Resorts in Fla this past Feb. WD-40 on a rag, rubbed on the tape stripes, seems to bring back the color!!
