Replacement of fuel pump. 1994 winnebago vincent 5-15-06
My rv driver. ran out of gas totally. the day before this the rv got a tune up andwas running fine. after, running out of gas and filling it up with gas and carb cleaners, gas cleaners, etc. added the gas tank, the rv ran terrible.finally it didn't run. a friend of a friend, checked it out and said it was the fuel pump. he replaced it. however, the tank was on empty when i got it back. there was 350.00 worth of gas in it. he said he had to through it away because it was dirty.
my question is the following: is this true and if the gas was dirty was there a way to strain the gas clean or something? by the by, the rv stills runs terrible, making me think the fuel pump was not the problem. any advise please.
