I've written about my experiences in the past about the above subject, so I won't go into great detail. We drive a 1996,33.5 Ft with a Ford 460. Two years ago we drove to Alaska and had to crawl over some of the mountains in the Canadian Rockies and Raton Pass in New Mexico. We had lost a transmission in Montana on the way up.
So, when we got back to Austin, 9500 miles later, I had the Banks system, including the Trans Command, installed. We could tell the difference when we pulled out onto the freeway from Camping World. It drives like a diesel now as far as going up the mountains. This past summer we drove all over the Midwest; Minn., So. Dakota, Wyoming and Colo. We went up the mountains with the best of the diesel pushers. I wish I hadn't put it on now as my wife says I have NO NEED for a new Diesel pusher.
I presume the Trans Command helps. I just didn't want to take a chance after replacing the transmission.
Hope this gives both of you some insight on these problems. Just get out $2,300 and don't look back!

I use mid grade gas in my 460 right now. Banks literature implies I can use regular octane after the Power pack upgrade. Is this true?
