Motorhome Class A Purchase Cay 6-29-01
My Husband and I plan to retire shortly when we sell our business. We plan to purchase a Diesel Pusher Maybe New or Used. Please advise me what we should consider as a low to mid entry unit. We also would like to pull behind a Mecury Marquis if it is not to large.
Would it be better to purchase a higher end used unit thea a lower end new??
thanks for any help. This is our first unit .

That Mercury is really almost to big to tow comfortably, Make sure what ever you buy to stay above 275HP with a 6 speed transmission. Look for a nice used one with low mileage that someone changed their mind about traveling that way.

I also am planning on retiring (disability) soon, and my wife wants to travel 12 months of the year. We live in cold midwest. I have been advised to tow as small/light a vehicle possible. We see a lot of Jeeps, I understand one puts the 4 wheel drive in Neutral and the main transmission in DRive. I have looked at new Mtr Hmes = $187.00 and used ones $50 and less.....
