I am considering a Banks Power Pack for my 1997 Bounder / Ford 460. Is it a good product and is it worth the cost. Any feedback would be welcomed. Any experiences etc.
Before going to that expense, try removing the muffler and tossing it away. Have a muffler shop install a 3 1/2 inch exhast pipe from the "cat" back to the location where the old pipe ended. Yes it will be a little bit more noise but the power and heat removal from the engine is worth it. Had it done on my 27footer with the Chev 454. Dropped the temp 75 degrees, mileage up 2.1 miles per gallon and more power.

I higly recommend it for your motorhome if you plan to keep it for awhile. The cost will off set itself if you keep the bounder for another five years or so. It gives better torgue and horsepower, while it helps to relieve heat from the engine. I have a 460 ford and love my banks. Also consider the transcom shift module.
I had a Banks System installed on my 94 Pace Arrow, P32 chassis, 454 engine. It's expensive but I am nevertheless pleased. I notice a chance in power and downshifting speeds. I was manily concerned about the 454's manifolds heating and cracking. I had it done at Banks Factory which I would recommend if you don't have someone you trust to do the installation. Best of Luck.
I am considering a Banks power pack for my 2006 motorhome with the triton v-10 engine.I have read that this system does well with the previous engines. Has any one had ant experience with the 06 and later models?
