Re: 1996 gulfstream tourrmaster by Bill
Post New Message I purchased a 40' 1996 Tour Master last March and have driven it over 7,000 miles. We have had plenty of problems but they were mostly the results of poor maintenance by the previous owner. We have the 400HP Cummins and it drives like a dream.

The fuel capacity is 150 Gal, fresh water is also 150 Gal, gray & black water tanks are 60 Gal each. That doesn't add up to 150 Gal, guess they figure you will drink the other 30 Gal.

I tow a Jeep Cherokee and usually run the generator while we travel. Milage has averaged about 7.5. Average speed 65 to 70.

One thing I noticed is the "delamination" of the finish on some of the cabinet doors. Also on the refrigerator doors. They other pet peeve I have is the lack of cyliners to hold the overhead cabinet doors open, you have to hold the doors up while you access the cabinets.

If you have any specific questions please let me know, I will try to answer. If you call Gulfstream they will send you a small booklet with the capacities and also other useful information.

Good luck,

Bill
