Re: screened awning room by Peg Krumlinde
Post New Message Julie - We have an 18' Carefree of Colorado awning - after losing one awning to a heavy hail and rain storm, we invested in 3 "ribs" that attach to the motor home at one end and to the main round brace of the awning. The are adjustable so you can have them as taut as you need. We have had no more trouble with anything but pine needles collecting on our awning. Rain and hail can't stay on it, due to the rounded shape it has. It is similar to the old covered wagons, except that it is much tighter. Hope this helps. Peg
