Post New Message The aluminum on a Barth is.060 thick aircraft aluminum. In most cases it was meant to be painted. I have numerous picture of Barths under construction and they are a dull gray. I have communicated with a guy in Des Moines who want to shine his Barth bookmobile conversion. He spent many, many hours with a power buffer and many dollars worth of Mothers products and got it looking pretty good but never like a Airstream.
