Post New Message Is the battery voltage with the battery disconnected 12v or greater?
If not the battery needs charging or has a bad cell( requires replacement)
The 9 volts you indicated, is that voltage with most accessories disconnected? Do you have a meter that reads DC amperes? Disconnect major 12v appliances, then disconnect the battery terminal.
On the maximum meter scale (at least 10 amperes) connect the meter
in series and read the current. Reduce the scale if the readings allow.
With everything off the maximum leakage current should be less than 30 milliamperes.
