|Wow! Belle--you are more peripatic that we are. We did the "safe" Alcan hwy to alaska a few years back in an Xplorer and had a good time of it, but the washboard roads dissuaded us from going north across the circle. Wimps, we.
Isata is still going strong, and the dealer has the part to correct the trim piece. We just have to go get it installed one of these days.
On a recent trip to Houston we "lost" a T-handle from one of the waste water gate valves. It just vibrated off, I guess. We have a new one complements of the dealer, but I would suggest to everyone that you install a lock nut on that handle, or put glue or loctite on the threads, or you might find yourself opening that valve with a pair of pliers.
Also have had a bad ballast in a ceiling light, which seems wholly inescusable It never worked from day one. Don't they inspect anything at the factory? It is being replaced.
My modification are all working well. The sliding shelf under the sink is wonderful, as are the hooks on the walls in the kitchen area and back hall. Gas mileage is around 12 mph, which I can live with.
Our hats are off to you for all the out-back space you cover. You must not let lack of service facilities get in the way of enjoying mobility. We are the nervous types.
