|P-30 Autopark Repair||Rebecca Turner||8-22-15|
|I have a 1996 Allegro Bay with this P-30 Work horse chassis with this autopark braking problem. I bought it used and although it drove home just fine, when I got home and went to park it in my not quite level yard, the autopark light was flashing and the only way I could safely keep it from rolling was to chock it. I also found I could not lower the landing gear or open my slide out. I called the manufacturer as I had all the paperwork and started asking questions. To my surprise they told me they couldn't help me! So I started researching the problems using the trusty ol' internet. The RV dealers in my area told me that workhorse had gone out of business and that they did not repair the Autopark braking system and wished me luck. Wow! After reading all the post with this same Autopark problem, I thought I was really stuck with a lemon. I found a mechanics shop (Dale's Auto Parts & Repair) in my area who was a BBB rated company so I called him up. I described the situation to him and he suggested I bring my RV to him and he would take a look at it. After studying all the details he told me that someone had disconnected part of the system and that my actuator was leaking. To my delight he was able to repair it within a few days and the cost was well below even the lowest prices I had read on line. So if you are within the southeastern U.S. I would recommend giving him a call. You can reach him at 423-584-4177. Happy RVing!|
