|P-30 (digits 5,6, & 7 of the VIN =P32 or P37) is a Chevrolet or GMC 1-ton, forward-control chassis. I currently have a manual for my '81 Grumman step-van's chassis on order from GM for $57(U.S.) plus S&H. Hopefully it will be worth $35 more than my Chilton's® Truck Manual "covering" that year. I'll try to find my way back here when I've developed an opinion on that.|
We all know what opinions are like & why, but mine FWIW is that my P30-chassis vehicle, despite evidence of a lifetime of indifferent care and maintenance--is still a good vehicle. I love the way it handles and it fit me like a bad habit from the day I drove it home. Just a little more TLC (tender love & CASH) and it'll be up for playing Xtra-short-RV clear to the Left Coast and back. RKBA! Regards, all.
