Driving to Alaska jim 9-20-09
We are going to drive from Minnesota to Fairbanks, to Anchorage and back to Phoenix Az. We have a Toyota motorhome thjat only has a 15 gallon tank. [we get 14 to 18 mpg]. Should we carry a 5 gallon gas can?? Is there a problem finding places to stay the night?? Thanks jim

I'm from Alaska. born and raised there. better purchase 4 0r 5 of those 5 gallon jugs. Alaska is very, very big...3 times the size of texas. I'm not joking. dead serious. running out of fuel, 200 miles away from anywhere, with only grizzlies to keep you company, is a lose-lose scenario. a word to the wise.
