John, My lid was damaged as well. The previous owner was not able to locate a replacement. She said the dealer told her it would require complete replacement of the entire trunk area (ridiculous). I have not been able to locate a replacement either (used or otherwise). I plan to make a wood box coated with polyuerethane and sealed with a weather stripping then somehow transfer the latch hardware so it will latch. I have not yet decided how I will handle the rear edge of the lid which has a plastic strip meant to slide into the lip edge of the water drip channel but I may be able to salvage/copy/and customize something similar on my custom wood lid. If not I will secure the rear of the lid with addition latches on the side of the lid which will require drilling holes into the side of the camper.....if you ever locate an after market lid supplier please email me roslyn725@yahoo.com |
