I bought mine in 2008 for $1200.00 but I think the used book value is more like $2400.00. As with any camper, if you look around you can get one below book value since book values seem to be based more on a depreciated amount from the sale value where as the market place does not demand such a premium. I believe coleman had problems with failing roofs starting in 1996 so I'm happy with the older model...no problems other than mice!
I have a 1993 coleman rio grande pop up camper. I am in need of a replacement lid for the storage area on the front of the camper, mine is cracked and is starting to fall apart. Any help in locating a lid will be appricated. Thanks
John, My lid was damaged as well. The previous owner was not able to locate a replacement. She said the dealer told her it would require complete replacement of the entire trunk area (ridiculous). I have not been able to locate a replacement either (used or otherwise). I plan to make a wood box coated with polyuerethane and sealed with a weather stripping then somehow transfer the latch hardware so it will latch. I have not yet decided how I will handle the rear edge of the lid which has a plastic strip meant to slide into the lip edge of the water drip channel but I may be able to salvage/copy/and customize something similar on my custom wood lid. If not I will secure the rear of the lid with addition latches on the side of the lid which will require drilling holes into the side of the camper.....if you ever locate an after market lid supplier please email me roslyn725@yahoo.com
unroll the awning and setup the two attached poles and stake in the support ropes. The three extra poles are to support the canopy. They extend outward from the camper. Place one end on the rubber pad on the trailer up by the roof and attach the other end of the support pole into the hole on the metal bracket mounted on the face edge of the canopy. One for each side and one in the middle.
