Rving in Safari Sahara Mike 3-23-09
Looking for anyone who has this coach, we are buying one in one week or so, a 1997 no slides, want your opinions, have researched and believe it is a good coach, Mike Sarason
Re: rving in Safari Sahara Sandy Biggart 5-6-09
We had a 1996 Serengetti for 5 years and recently purchased 1996 Sahara, which we are in the process of re-doing.

If your unit is a wide body, and if you take care of it, you'll be happy. We loved our Serengetti and while the Sahara isn't quite the vehicle the Serengetti was, we know that once we finish redoing it, we'll love it as well.

As with all motorhomes, yours and ours will need constant care. The reward is that you will be comfortable while traveling and you'll have plenty of storage to boot.

The unit we bought is shorter, lighter and has a smaller CAT engine...but it is easier to drive than our 38 footer and currently gets 10.5 mpg on the highway.

Our current unit was badly abused and just about everything needs to be repaired or replaced...but it is a labor of love and we hope to have many years of enjoyment from our little coach.

If you have any questions, feel free to email us and best of luck with your new baby.
