RV inline gas regulator Phil Sanders 1-20-09  
We own a 1998 Suncrest RV on a 1988 GMC P30 chassis. In preparing for travel discovered a bubbling leak from the gas press. regulator in the frame near gas tank. Removal of the lock nut and spring regulator screw reveals a small groove in the body of the regulator running the full length of the regulator screw threads into the regulator body. The groove appears to be intentional. Any ideas as to why the groove is there and how to stop the sudden gas leak. Have owned the coach since 1989 and this is first problem with the gas regulator leaking. Any help appreciated. Thanks, Phil Sanders

This not a fuel pressure regulator, it's a fuel filter(inboard driver side frame rail), just replace it(should be replace every year at least.
