Can someone tell me what the "Economy" mode does on the Allison 3060 6 Speed transmission? I've had them on two RVs and can't tell any difference when I have the E light on. Thanks.

The economy mode button changes the RPM range where the transmission shifts in gears 1-5. It's a very slight change. I use mine when I'm driving on flat roads like in FL, TX, etc. It does NOT change the gear ratio in 6th gear which is of course your "crusing" gear in the highway. If you're towing a car, you'll notice that your RV seems to lug a little if you're in economy. It's Ok to experiment with the button to see if you can "feel" the difference.
