VFD desperatly seeks Detroit info. Recently purchased a 1996 6v92DDEC "not even broken in" to replace one that ran hot in our 1985 Seagrage fire pumper. The engine was advertised as a "Silver 92" (wrong).What will it take to convert the DDEC to non electroinc? Will the cams fire the mechanical inj's on time. Will the fuel pump mount on the DDEC? Have been told the rack will mount on the DDEC heads. Any experenced information will be appreciated. I have a good basic knowledge of 2-strokes. Our Volunteer fire dept thanks you. |
