Linda, B/4 removing belts be sure that each accessory (alternator, A/C, air vpump, etc.) is actually turning over or rotating. It could be a frozen pulley bearing on one of the accessories. When one freezes or begins ot freeze up, the noise will come and go as you described. If you have already replaced the belt and the noise continues, you have confirmed a frozen pulley on one of the accessories and will need to buy another belt. Check the lower mounted to the ground accessories; they usually get the roughest environment. Good Luck. |
