Dodge 440 Nancye 11-7-07
I bought a 1977 Tioga motor home with the Dodge 440 engine. We drove it about 15 miles and put it in storage. We changed the oil, did the normal tune up things such as plugs, plug wires, ect. We ran into problems with the coil however. The recommended one made from epoxy is no longer available. It required this, because of the high temp the electrical system goes through in this engine configuration. We have to get a different one, not made from epoxy. Any suggestions on where to maybe find the correct part?

Have you tried a NAPA auto parts store? Don't know what type you have but there ar a few things to look out for. Does it need a ballast resistor in line ? also some may not have internal ground ? Napa should be able to look it up and help you. MIKE
