Post New Message Linda, if it is the alternater, it always goes to full charge right away to replace the voltage used to start the rig. At full charge it will put an extra drag on the belt. Can you check your charge guage or lite while the screaming is happening? Is the needle pinned? How old is the battery? how loose is the belt? Autozone has all the test equiptment if needed. And, like Rich said, NO WD40.
