Start by taking the belt off and start the engine(don't let it run). See if the sound is still there. If gone start with a new belt. You prob. need one anyway since the WD40. Clean the WD off the pulleys, before a new belt. Don't put WD on the new belt, use a belt dressing if you think you need something on there, but a new belt shouldn't need it. If poss. put a belt on just what you think may be the problem and start up to see. |
