Post New Message Al, have you solved the problem yet? I have a similar situation with an '87 Rockwood. It climes to almost hot and the oil temp climes to over 260 on a steep long grade (The Grapevine, CA). They drop dramatically when no load. I too put in the largest rad, new water pump, themostat. I'm not an expert, but it seems from all the info I have gathered, those puppies run hot!
And I'm not towing anything.
