I have a 1990 southwind with a 454 chev motor. It runs great and has plenty of power. Lately it has started cutting out and then restarting. The choke light comes on and sometimes it will backfire. I have changed the distrubutor cap, plug wires, coil and the brain chip in the cap. The carburator was rebuild and the fuel pumps are working correctly. It is an intermittent problem that is driving me nuts. I can drive it 200 miles with no problem and then it starts cutting out and sometimes backfires. Is there another computer in the motor bay that I'm missing? Any ideas will be appreciated. |
