? I WAS ABOUT TO MOVE MY BUS WHICH IS A 1980 MC9 CHARTER BUS. WE WERE ABOUT TO MOVE IT WHEN WE HAD TO KEP ON ADDING WATER TO IT THAN WHE I TRYED TO DRIVE IT IT STARTD GETING HOT BUT WE HAD AIR IN SYSTEM. THAN IT STARTED OVERFILLING WITH OIL AND WAS THIN BUT IT DIDNT GET MILKY AND SOMEONE TOLD ME TO CHECK TO SEE IF I HAD JUMPER LINE LEAKS AND YES I DID I RAN A TEST ON IT AND IT DID HAVE LEAKS ON FUEL JUMPER LINES BUT I COULDNT UNDERSTAND WHY WE THOUGHT IT WAS WATER MIXED IN OIL BUT WHEN WE WENT TO DRAIN IT NO WATER CAME OUT THE OIL DRAIN. JUST GREY WELL SILVER LOOKING LOOKING OIL. SO I DIDNT UNDERSTAND BUT IT WOULD CRANK STILL BUT WE GOT IT OFF ROAD AND JUST SHUT IT DOWN SO I TOOK THE OIL FOR A TEST AND THEY SAID IT WAS POS FOR WATER BUT ALL THE CAR MECHANICS I WOKED WITH SAID THAT IF THAT WAS WATER IN THERE IT SHOULD HAVE HAD A MILKY AND THICK LOOKING SO I DONT KNOW. DOES ANY ONE KNOW IF DIESEL FUEL WILL GET THE OIL TO TURN LIKE THAT

The mechanic told me it was ok to run my engine long enough to raise the coach's airbags and drive it around into his work bay.

The water pump was not functioning and he had the hoses disconnected while waiting for a replacement.

Could this have caused damage to the cylinder walls? The engine ran at idle for about 25 minutes.

I have an old 6v92 silver series sitting in the shop, now at the time it came in it was running rough.I ran through the basics checked the oil to make sure it was up and not thinned out.I changed the fuel filters and found the secondary was pulled down and the primary was up,now I changed the fiters and the sir filter due to being full reprimed the system and it ran fine foe a bit then it went strait to stalling.I pulled the fuel filter and found that it drawn down.I figured that the injectors or one of the injectors were possably pulling to much fuel or something on that end was causing the draw.I checked for a check valve figuring that it may be failing and not letting fuel flow as it should. My next corse of action is to try and run this of an alternate fuel sorce,be for the pump or at the pump.do you know of anything else that would cause this engine to die like it is.I'm up on all of the new stuff with ecm's,pdm'sand all that happy stuff, never realy played with anything mechanical.
