1996 Ford Taurus Low Heat Produced Only At higher driving speeds chris 6-17-07
Hi I just had the engine rebuilt on my car.

I had a problem with my blower blowing at too low of a speed to produce good heat before the engine was rebuilt. Now I still have that problem. The thermostat and heater core are fine. The blower will blow stronger at 60 plus miles per hour. The shift knob for variable air speed does not change the frequency of the output of air and the output itself only increases when vehicle is operating and moving at greater speeds. Please help

Just sounds like a bad control or bad ground connection. Also check fan high speed relay.Don't know now but older ones used relay for high speed that gave trouble a lot of the time.Newer ones may be all electronic.Good Luck MIKE
