I have a 1988 winnebago on I think a 1987 chassis. It has a 454 carb, not tbi. It ran fine last year but wouldn't run this year. We did get it to run but it acts like it is missing and has no power. We have: changed plugs, wires, cap, rotor, coil, fuel filter in carb, oil, oil filter. I'm told there is some type of modulator under rotor that might be bad. Is this a possibility? Do you have any other suggestions?
Could be many things.Does it run better at higher rpms? Does it have the check engine light system. If so is the light on???Just a couple of ideas, old gas,EGR valve sticking open a bit. pluged fuel filter, one on the right frame rail,or one on the front of carb.Don't know about any modulator under the rotor. My 86 Winnie just has the Ign.module under the rotor. Check timing maybe sticking weights on top of the rotor, check the springs on the weights and make sure they are clean and a small amount of grease on them. Also may not have pump in tank working or pluged screen on the pick up in tank. Good Luck and keep us posted MIKE
