I have a 1996, 60 series Detroit Diesel in a MCI bus conversion. Engine has always run strong until Sunday. Would not crank, plenty of battery juice and motor spun but would not crank. Road call mechanic came, battery strong, no heating or cooling problems, no low oil problem. Computer check indicated code 53 or 54 problem. Mechanic reset computer. Engined fired right up and drove 150 miles home with no problems. Tried to crank next day and same symptoms. Any ideas on what is wrong. Mechanic thought either a bad sensor or bad computer! However, he spoke very bad English and was hard to understand. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Have called a local mechanic but haven't heard back yet. Thanks
