Engine tommy 1-9-07  
I have a 96 s10 4cyl 2.2 and when i bought it the timeing was out and it did not run but i got it running i timed it and it was ok i drove it home and it began to run like crap it wont idal hard to start and it keeps jumping timeing if any know's anything please let me know or if you know anyone with a 2.2 4sale let me know 96-97 will work

Are you unhooking the timing connector when setting the timing.? MIKE

Don't know on your model.Maybe I can find info for it. On my 89 s10 4.3 its inside the cab under the dash on the right side near the heater. Thats why its running like crap.I look today and see if I can find the2.2 model MIKE

Chiltons manual good up to 1991 say look under heater box in the engine bay.Also says to check around distributor wiring. Good Luck MIKE
