Ford 460 belt mapping Herb Crichton 12-4-06
I have a 1990 36 foot Malibu by Cobra with a Ford 460 engine. The belts keep braking about every 500 miles and I lose my brakes. Is there any place I can find the proper mapping for these belts?

Thanks,

Herb

You may have a broken or loose bracket on the alternator, power steering, air pump if equiped, AC compressor, idler pully loose on serpentine belt & the belts are offset or crooked. As for the mapping here a pict, but not knowing which setup you got????????

Thanks, Wrench,
I went to the site and found the.jpg file but could not open it even after registering. I send an email to the site people but have had no response. I have 2 air pumps and a booster brake pump plus all the normal stuff. I have had no luck in finding the correct info. After thinking about it I believe as long as the belts run straight and the pulleys are smooth it really does not matter how they are routed. They should not break in 15 hours of use. There has to a different problem - like pump bearings.
