Starter problem - Coachmen	Jim J.	10-30-06
I have a 93 Coachmen Santara with the 5.9 cummings. The starter will not disengage. This has happened several times. I have replaced starter and solenoid. Also changed the continues solenoid. Still have the problem. Any help much appriciated.

There could be damage to your starter gear on the flywhee. Take the starter off, mark the gear with a spot of paint and hand-rotate the engine around to inspect all of the teeth. You might get lucky and be able to remove some burrs with a file and get going again. JG
