Check with your local Detroit Diesel distributor. You will probably need some numbers off of the engine (maybe on a tag on the valve cover) as there were several different ratings. I think most were in the 180-210 range, and about 400 ft. lbs. Generally, they were competitive in power with the 5.7 (350 cid) small block Chevy.

Greetings; I have a 1999 chevy 6.5turbo diesel. No diesel mechanics around. Truck started off just shutting off. I replaced and relocated the PMD with a #9 resistor. This corrected that problem.
New problem truck works great with no load, however as soon as I put a load to it, it will not rev up. Just Heavy black smoke and no power. I have checked the vacum psg at the pump got 23 at the waste gate 20. I had a check engine light replaced turbo boost sensor and map sensor. This took care of light but truck still acts the same. Any suggestions please.
