I have a 84 GoergieBoy Excalibur. I have replaced all batteries, all battery cables, Starter, starter relay, and ignition switch & lock. When I turn the key to the start position, it will not give me anything at all, not even so much as a relay click. This has been plagueing me for over a month, I am quite mechanical, but this is stumping me. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, as I am wanting to use it very soon. Thank you for your help.

It appears you,ve replaced everything EXCEPT the neutral start switch. This switch is often combined with the back-up light switch, it may be just a matter of adjustment. Do this push down on the brake pedal, hold the key in the start position, move the gearshift lever throuh it's entire range. If it's out of adjustment, at some point the engine will crank. You should find the combination switch mounted near the base of the steering column, down near the floorboard, it's mounted with screws throuh slotted holes so it can be adjusted to coincide with the gear shift position. Sometimes the contacts inside the switch for the "park" position fail, but those for the "N" or, neutral, position are good, try starting in that position.

Good point, a possibility. Put vehicle in park and set parking brake, go to starter relay and jump from battery + cable on relay to small terminal on relay with small gauge wire. If your relay has two terminals, try them both. If the engine cranks, then check for a bad fusible link. They are covered with a rubbery coating, and when they burn or corrode intwo you can really stretch them, make it easy to find the bad one. They are attached to the same rerminal on the relay that the battery + cable is. Let us know what you find. You can just splice a wire around a bad fusible link in order to get the vehicle up and running.

Thanks Guy's, I will check these things this weekend.
