Re: 454 overheating by Kent
Post New Message I have a 454 in a 1993 Chev Silverado 4X4 I have replaced the radiator, the heater core, the theromostsat (numerous times), flushed thouroughly and the engine still overheats. I have it in check but when i two my 30 foot fifth wheel up any kind of an incline up it gores and droplets of water fall into the passenger side of the cab. It smells like hot water everewhere and eventually red lines and overheats. Any ideas on what to try next ?

Replacing clutch fan and checking ignition advance curve first steps. I'm concerned about the "droplets of water fall into the passenger side of the cab", sounds like a leak at the heater core or hoses attached to it.
