My 454 in my fleetwood i just bought runs at 210-240 at 75 mph is this normal?> it was hot outside but i feel like im killing it, i have had it for a week, i heard people talk about clutch fans? do they factor in?
thanks
Yes the clutch fan should be coming on and you should hear and feel it when it comes on.Makes a loud roar and will feel like the tranny just shifted.Does it run at a lower temp at lower speeds.Make sure the cooling system is clean and not leaking fluid. My 86 Itasca runs about one third scale on the gauge.Good Luck Mike
My 1991 FI 454 southwind ran hot too. I put a highflow waterpump and thermostate ( milodon) a flex-lite 18" flex fan, flushed the cooling system and now it only gets that hot on long steep upgrades when the OAT is in the 100's then cools right down to about 190-200 once up-hill pull is over. The down side of the flex fan is noise, going to check out HP electric fans next. in normal conditions it runs at 180 now.
My check brake pressure warning light comes on. I understand oshkosh system has an electronic brake booster on it. I can hear it come on when the brake peddle is pushed. Where can I find parts or the whole electronic booster brake unit?
