I am in the process of changing the water pump on my bounder. I has a 454 in it. I ordered and installed a high volume water pump and doing so I had to remove basically all the brackets on the front of the motor to get the water pump off and back on. Now I'm putting it back together and my belts are not in alignment. Theres 4 belts including the serpentine belt. I think I have not bolted some of the brackets back up incorrectly because I have belts rubbing each other. Does anyone have a picture of the 454 that shows enough detail that I could see how to bolt up the brackets properly?
My 1990 454 rv flair has the diagram in one of the brackets inside, believe the air pump bracket. And yes, you practically have to remove everything. I just replaced my pump and while you are at it, replace the fan clutch, hoses, belts and radiator, if you can. i did, and now it runs cool like new.
Recently water was very slowly dripping down the new lower water hose,
then more recently it restarted pouring out.
The hose clamp is tight and leak appears to be coming out from top of hose on the back side where you cannot see it. I have never heard any noise coming from the pump.
Any suggestions? What do I have to do if I need to replace?
