We are looking at buying the above motor home, and was wondering how much trouble we can expect from the above rig. The owner says engine was replaced 8k miles ago, but it doesn't look like a new engine to me. There are quite a few things that need to be repaired, but they are minor on the body of the rig. They say they didn't use the water, or propane for a few years, but did in the past. HELP!!
Help! We have an '89 LaSharo with a loose hood latch-release cable. How can we get under the hood to make repairs? I unscrewed the grill but it is attached somewhere up under the lip of the hood and not accessable. From inside in the drivers seat pulling the release know gives slack and I can hear the latch under the hood make noise so it isn't completely broken is my guess.
Please, anyone, give me an idea where I can get the hood open!
thanks
HV
If you are not mechanically inclined I would pass on this unit. They are tough but need much attention. Knowing what is happening to your unit at any time is very important for reliablity. I own a 89 five speed and love it and have driven it across country. I am also a mechanic and have worked and modified my unit for greater efficiancies. Drop me a line and let me know what you decide.
I am considering a 1986 lesharo with only 14000 miles on it it has a turbo diesel and everything works. What kind of problems can I expect and can I drive this rig to Alaska in the mountians this coming summer?
I have owned two LeSharo motorhomes. The one I now have is for sale. It was converted to the Chrysler 3.3 v6 in 2002. It is a 1988 and was converted to the new motor and drivetrain by "SWorks in Bozman Montana. It is in excellent shape and has had many updates done to it since I purchased it. I was not intending to sell it yet, but I now have more time to travel and have purchase a trailer to tow behind my truck. I have a detailed list of the work done and when, as well as pictures. If you are still looking for a LeSharo, email me and I can send you the details.
