Chevy 454 exhaust problem Dan Armstrong 8-20-01
Have a '85 Southwind with Chevy 454. Had exhaust leaks last August. Mech said he replaced all exhaust manifold studs, which he said were in backwards. Noise is back. Another mech says there are no gaskets to replace. Need help getting the noise fixed.

Had same motor home found the bolts from exhaust pipe to manifold woiuld losen up..keep tightening them. Also trouble with manifolds warping, but ran another 40k miles and no problem with that leak except starter selenoid would heat up, but solved that with shield.
