I have only a spark from the coil when the key is turned to the start position. As the engine turns over, no more spark. For this problem I have replaced the ballast resistor and the control box.
Any ideas??
Lets see if we can make all this a little easier. There is a two wire connector leading from the distributor. Turn the key to run and unplug the connector. Take the end leading to the wireing harness (not to the distributor)and tap the bare terminal to a clean ground. Each time you tap the terminal the coil should spark. If it does you have a bad pick-up in the distributor if it does not the coil or module or power to the coil or module is at fault.
