1992 Winnebago, 454 Chev engine, automatic trans, throttle body injection.
MH starts, but will not idle or run at any RPM. However, by continuously pumping the gas pedal the engine will keep running flat.
Doesn't appear to be the fuel pump.
Any suggestions will be much appreciated.
Can you tell if the injectors are spraying fuel.If not spraying much you might check the throttle position senser, look for a open ground circuit. If spraying fuel I would remove and clean the EGR control. Also clean the passage way in the intake where EGR is.Have you checked fuel pump pressure.? Good Luck MIKE
Have you changed the filter along the right hand frame.?
and some times bees stop up the fuel vent hose and the pump seams to be working and since fuel tank becomes a vacuum and the engine wont run.and you could have rotted rubber lines too and the pump is sucking air--lots of variables

454 Chev. overheated; lost all coolant; refilled after cool down (next morning). No bubbles in filler tube; black smoke and is missing. Took left valve cover off and # 1 push rod was off. Is valve bent? Does it need a valve job? and exproximate cost if you know.
Thanks, Tex
Hi Tex
i would take a compression test-- if they are all close -I would replace the one pushrod---test engine again on how it runs--excessive heat can do several things--metal expands as does most things in excessive heat---find the leak---you might have blown a head gasket -and it will show up later.
good luck---let us know how things are
