I just bought a 92 Ford Ranger XLT 4.0 V6 / 5 speed. The idle is rough and I'm getting VERY bad mileage. About 14 miles per gallon highway! I checked the fuel pressure at the fuel rail and my gauge reads 70 PSI. This seems high. What should my fuel pressure be? Also I have no check engine light at all. Even when I turn the key on. The engine also lacks power when climbing hills or cruising on the freeway. Other than at idle, it runs smooth. I already cleaned the MAF sensor as it was dirty due to a cracked air filter box. Please help!
