1987 Ford Ranger woes John 1-19-06
I put in a used 2.9 in my truck. The motor was running really rich blowing black smoke all the time. I replaced the air temp sensor and the coolant sensor (two wire one). Also, installed new plugs, new fuel injectors, fuel regulator, throttle position switch, and O2 sensor. I replaced those as well and no change. It still runs really rich and gets bad, bad gas mileage (9 mpg). Any other suggestions. (140 psi each cyl)
