I have an 88 Gulfstream with an F460 engine that I just bought used. The engine temp gauge normally sits just above 1/2 way on the green scale. I had some other work done on the engine and after I drove it home, about 70 miles and took it on its next trip of 270 miles, the gauge seemed to read at the top of the green zone before the fan would turn on, whereas previously it turned on at about 60% of the range. I thought that maybe there is a bad connection or a bad sender. Any thoughts? Anyone know where the sender is? I have ordered a F460 manual, but will not get it in time for our 3000 mile trip from East to West coast at the end of the month.
Thanks, Bob
