Pleae help. I need to find out what year the 460 engine is in my Ford Truck. It will not pass smog and needs and EGR valve. The engine came out of another Ford. All I know is it IS a 460. But how do I figure out what year? Thank you. Teri

Don't know nothing about the engine that is in my 1982 jeep cj5 friends have told me it was a 302 ford. and some have told me it was a 306 amc also somebody told me it was a 360. this is not factory engine it is a v8.

I have a 1984 chevy s-10 blazer with a mod. small block 305 i have some number off the engine but dont what yr it is or make and model the number is #vo521cgc,11c172454.can u help me. thanks

There is usually a part number somewhere that gives it away or Find the serial number or a casting number. I would call your local Ford dealer to find out what and where to look.

I need to know the year of my motor. It is a 350 in a Firebird. The numbers on the block are 10522CM and 14K147724. Please help. I need it to find parts and the correct firing order.

I have a 351w the only numbers i can find on it is BES 10-98 on the heads. i cant figure out what year of motor and what it came out of. they keep giving me the wrong parts for it. i think its in the eightys. is there that big of a difference?

Look on the left-hand valve cover, there should be a decal there with the engine information, in code, of course, but the Smog Tech should have the information in his book. You didn't say what state you are in, I just hope it is not California as the emission control equipment has to match the year of the truck, or visa-versa, depending on which is newer.

I have a 305 out of a Monte Carlo that I do not know they year of. I know where the number is, but I don't know where to look it up. It is around a 78. Thanks, Nick

I am in India, and have a 1969 model Kaiser Universal Jeep. I think it belongs to CJ5 Category. Could u please help me fiind out the Engine for me. The jeep was manufaactured in Ohio, USA.

I need help! my pontiac firebird has and old engine (not stock) and i need to find out what year it is so i can get a new distributer and new parts for it. i think its a 400 and i know its a v8.
