454 uphill backfire Wade 2-20-17
I have a 94 bounder we drive once a month.
Lately it is getting worse on a long uphill grade it will start popping and looses tons of power.
Acts like it's running lean and starving for fuel.
Need to know where to start looking.
Help
Wade

As this is likely an ignition failure we need to eliminate the fuel system first.

You need to fit a pressure gauge to the port on the fuel supply line to the injectors and take your drive.

If the pressure remains where it should be then you are looking at ignition module (most likely if temperature related), Coil (second most likely), cap, rotor, wires, Plugs etc

Good Luck
