Odor in hot water sharon 7-19-16  
I can't use my hot water on my camper cause it smells the cold water is fine what can i do

In order easiest to hardest:

Remove the plug and drain the hot water heater. I bet you get a bunch of white scale out of it.

Change the anode rod if equipped. The white scale can hold biologic (Not harmful) causing the smell, the anode is suspect due to the porous surface.

Use PHAB fresh water purge or similar fresh water system cleaner as directed. Virtually every RV Parts supplier carries this.

Change your water source. When we get to this step the water often has hydrogen sulfide gas in it that is released by the heating of the water, if that is the case then this is the only solution.
