Aftermarket radiator ? joey 8-29-15
I have a 89 bounder 34ft with 454 ci ! I bought a aftermarket radiator but it doesn't have the spot for the temp sensor in it but can i put the sensor in the head ? That sensor runs the elec fans from what i understand ?

The Head is an error, the head runs noticably warmer in that spot than the coolant in the rest of the engine, giving a false high reading. The water thermostat housing may have an available port to thread into, if so thats a good spot. Or take back the wrong rad and et the correct one.
Good Luck

There is no such thing as returning the rad because it is the only replacement built and sold ! It runs the fans and not the temp gauge so if anything the fans will run more which won't hurt anything ?
