|Power switch not working for step||merv||5-31-15|
|1999 fleetwood discovery 36 T.the power step works fine but the switch at entrance does not work.the switch itself works but there is no power to it. need schematic.fuses seem good. thanks|

|From one of our techs that worked on these:|
1st This switch is not a on off power supply switch, it is a control switch.
This switch may be a grounding switch or powered. If it is powered the switch gets its power from the step power supply. If it is a grounding switch it will not test with a test light.
The most common problems in this system are the ground point is bad or the magnetic switch in the door is bad or not working. The inside control switch and door switch are wired in together.
